I've learned by speaking directly in english message boards.

I don't recommend google translator, it's more a support to check your vocabulary.

Try also to think in english time to time and to watch DVDs in english too.

And since you love music, try to learn English by listening and signing the lyrics :p

But I'd like to say that french school is for losers about english learning though.

No it's a part of the problem, I was in a german school once and the method of teaching is completely different : teachers speak directly in the foreign language studied.
And from what I know, this method exists in the majority of the others european countrys.

It also exists in some schools in France ... After his depends on the method of teaching professor ... It goes like this ca in fac languages.

Yeah in universities the method is closer to the foreign ones.
I had a teacher with an english nationality this year, but as I've learned nothing new I wasn't present in class :P (I've got 19/20 at the test anyway)

any way the best way to learn is to go remain in the country in question. I lived 5 years spain and I learned Spanish in 3 months. Now I speak Spanish fluently
